In the fall of 2017, Okami Taiko was conceptualized. It took many months to gather student interest, signatures and support, and in Spring of 2018, Okami Taiko was officially established as an active club at Madison College.
Okami Taiko's first performance (ever!) was for the Madison College Center for International Education (CIE) Spring 2018 Global Student Showcase.
Shortly after the Global Showcase, Okami Taiko was invited to participate in the Madison College Performing Arts Student Showcase.

In the Summer of 2018, Okami Taiko was invited to participate in Make Music Madison Day with their UW Madison sister group, Anaguma Eisa.

In the Fall of 2018, Okami Taiko hosted their first table at Madison College's Campus Fun Day! It was a fantastic opportunity for recruiting new drummers!
At Okami Taiko's first club meeting & orientation, it was exciting to meet the new prospective club members and introduce them to eisa!

Okami Taiko's first fall performance of 2018 was for the Madison College CIE International Education Week.
To rap up the fall semester, Okami Taiko was invited to perform with Anaguma Esia at Japanfest, a celebration put on by the Milwaukee Japanese Association.
